John Harrison , Sales Director, Rose Hill , Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker, CORE

John Harrison is Director of Sales for Rose Hill, Rockefeller Group’s first ever residential tower in Manhattan. He is an associate broker with CORE and has spent over 10 years providing a full service experience guiding clients through every type of real estate transaction from New Development to Resale; Condominium, Co-op, Townhouse, Multi-Family, Commercial, Landlord, and Tenant. He previously sold out Robert AM Stern designed “One Museum Mile” and has a robust history of consulting with clients through all phases of projects.

Prior to working at CORE, John worked at IBM for over 10 years, where he served as an IT Architect, focused on building opportunity for various business units throughout the U.S. and in Europe. Prior to IBM he worked with BJY, Inc, a full-service U.S. based architectural/ engineering design firm. He established the Eastern European branch and developed a training and growth system for the international expansion of the firm. He conducted seminars and recruiting efforts in Bulgaria, Hungary, and Finland, and worked closely with the U.S. Embassy to establish a travel program for new candidates. Before working with BJY he lived in Italy, where he worked on international marketing and ad campaigns for the fashion industry. Throughout his time in Europe and working for IBM he also developed private real estate investment opportunities and served as a marketing consultant for local brokers in his home town of Austin, Texas.

John has lived in New York City for over 15 years and remains committed to the future of the city.

Kurt Drstvensek , Vice President , Real Estate Development , Rockefeller Group

Kurt J. Drstvensek is a Vice President of Development for Rockefeller Group in the Northeast United States. He has nearly 20 years of experience in real estate, finance and investment, in positions of increasing authority spanning development, real estate financial analysis and investment management in U.S. gateway markets.

Based in the company’s Manhattan headquarters, with an emphasis on office, residential and mixed-use product in New York City, Mr. Drstvensek is responsible for all aspects of new development, from sourcing opportunities, to in-depth financial and market analysis, site acquisition, entitlements, financing and marketing.

Since joining Rockefeller Group in 2006, he has played important roles in several of the company’s largest projects and initiatives, including the commencement of phase one of Flushing Commons, the company’s $1 billion mixed-use joint venture development in Flushing Queens, hailed as an anchor of the neighborhood’s revitalization. More recently, Mr. Drstvensek has been a lead member of the project team for Rose Hill, a 123-unit residential condominium on East 29th Street in Manhattan – Rockefeller Group’s first ground-up residential development in Manhattan.

Prior to joining Rockefeller Group, Mr. Drstvensek worked at CBRE Investors and was responsible for analyzing real estate transactions for the company’s net lease investment program. Additionally, he has held various positions with RREEF/Deustche Bank, where he worked on $4 billion of assets across three real estate funds, and with Bernstein Companies, where he principally worked on a series of real estate funds consisting of Class A office properties in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Drstvensek holds an M.A. from the University of St. Andrews in St. Andrews, Scotland.
